SSC GD Exam 2026 Cancelled at Various Centres, Check List & New Schedule

Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Eastern Region, has issued an official notice cancelling the Shift II examination for Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles, scheduled on 27th April 2026, at various exam centre namely at the AMS Institute (Kolkata) and Santiniketan Polytechnic (Durgapur), at Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial Polytechnic College, Moga (Punjab).

The commission has notified regarding the cancellation of the SSC GD Exam 2026 due to technical issues. The exam has been cancelled at around 3 exam centres, for which a rescheduled date will be notified soon. The list of exam centres where the exam has been cancelled is shared below.

SSC GD New Schedule 2026 Soon

According to the SSC’s official notice signed by the Regional Director, Staff Selection Commission (ER), Kolkata, the examination for all scheduled candidates at the affected venues in the 2nd shift on April 27, 2026, will be rescheduled and conducted on forthcoming exam days. A specific rescheduled date has not yet been announced. Candidates are advised to keep checking the official SSC portals for updates.

SSC GD Constable Exam Timing 2026

The SSC GD Constable Computer-Based Test 2026 is being conducted from 27th April to 30th May 2026 in four phases across exam centres nationwide. The exam is held in four shifts each day.

About SSC GD Exam 2026

SSC GD Constable 2026 recruitment drive was announced for 25,487 vacancies across various Central Armed Police Forces, including BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, Assam Rifles, and SSF. The Computer-Based Test consists of 80 questions carrying 160 marks, with a negative marking of 0.25 marks per wrong answer. The duration of the exam is 60 minutes.
