Candidates who are willing to apply for the RRB JE Recruitment 2026 must fall between 18 and 33 years. Candidates should be born on or before 01/01/2008, and the maximum age varies by category.

RRB JE Educational Qualifications
While filling out the application form for RRB JE Vacancy 2026, candidates need to have completed some minimum educational qualifications as prescribed by the Railway Recruitment Board. The candidates must have completed an Engineering diploma/degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics Engineering/Production Engineering/Automobile, or any other relevant engineering discipline.

RRB JE Nationality
Apart from the candidate’s age and qualifications, the candidate’s citizenship/nationality is another parameter for evaluating the eligibility for Junior Engineer posts. The candidate should be one of the following:
(i) an Indian citizen;
(ii) a citizen of Nepal;
(iii) a subject of Bhutan;
(iv) a Tibetan refugee who entered India before January 1, 1962, to settle there permanently; or
(v) an Indian national who has immigrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka; East African countries such as Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania; Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam to settle in India permanently.
RRB JE Medical Standards
Candidates must be medically fit for RRB Junior Engineer posts as per the norms prescribed by official authorities. There are different vision standards specific to A-3, B-1, B-2, and C1 medical standards which are tabulated below.
