How to Apply Online for RRB JE 2026?
Firstly, ensure you meet the eligibility criteria, including educational qualifications, age limit, and other requirements. Candidates applying for RRB JE Recruitment 2026 must know the steps to fill out their application forms, which we discuss below.
Step 1: Create an Account
- Visit the official website of the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) and go to the other RRB page, https://www.rrbapply.gov.in/.
- On the homepage, click the link that says "Click here to apply for RRB JE" under the CEN 04/2026 link for application.
- A new page appears on the screen. Tap the Apply button and select Create an Account.
- For the ‘Create an Account’ form, fill in your basic details, for example, personal information, Aadhar verification, and contact details, and create a PASSWORD. (The password should be a combination of capital letters, small letters, special characters, and numbers).
Details That Cannot Be Changed
Candidates should therefore verify these details before creating the account.. The following details entered during account creation cannot be modified:

- Registered email ID
- Chosen RRB
Step 2: RRB JE Application Form
- Candidates must log in using a registered mobile number, mail ID, and password to complete the application form.
- Candidates must select the RRB for which they wish to apply and the posts and zones within that RRB.
- Enter other details, including essential educational qualification details.
- Upload scanned images of their photograph, signature, and SC/ST certificate (if applicable) according to the specifications given in the form.
- After filling in all the necessary fields carefully, applicants can see the preview of their application form. They should go through all the details and click on ‘Final Submission’
Step 3: Fee Payment
- After completing steps I and II, the candidate has to pay the requisite examination fee.
- The fee will be paid online through net banking, credit card, debit card, or UPI services.
- The confirmation page of the online application form will be generated only after successful payment by the candidate.
- Download and take a print copy of the confirmation page of the application form for future reference.

RRB JE Fee Refund
The RRB JE fee has a refund component linked to appearing in the first-stage CBT.
- For candidates paying Rs. 500, the applicable refund is Rs. 400, after applicable bank charges.
- For candidates paying Rs. 250, the applicable refund is Rs.250, subject to the prescribed conditions.
- Candidates who do not appear in CBT-1 should not expect the examination fee refund.

Candidates are not required to upload an old/pre-existing passport-size photograph. The application system provides a facility to capture a live photograph using a webcam or the front camera of a mobile device.
