RRB JE Exam Pattern 2026
The entire recruitment process of the RRB JE 2026 Exam shall involve the 1st stage Computer Based Test (CBT), 2nd stage CBT, and Document Verification/ Medical Examination as applicable. Knowing the exam pattern helps candidates to know the topics asked in the exam, the marking scheme, the total no. of questions asked in the exam, the total number of questions etc.
Railway JE 2026 Exam will be conducted in the following 4 different phases:
- First Stage of CBT
- Second Stage of CBT
- Document Verification
- Medical Examination

RRB JE CBT 1 Exam Pattern 2026
Negative Marking: There shall be negative marking for incorrect answers in CBTs. 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each question shall be deducted for each wrong answer.
Minimum percentage of marks for eligibility in various categories: UR -40%, OBC-30%, SC-30%, ST -25%. These percentage of marks for eligibility may be relaxed by 2% for PwBD candidates in case of a shortage of PwBD candidates against vacancies reserved for them.

The total number of candidates to be shortlisted for the 2nd Stage shall be 15 times the community-wise total vacancy of Posts notified against the RRB as per their merit in the 1st Stage CBT.
