Educational Qualification

1. Senior Assistant (ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਸਹਾਇਕ)

• Candidates must be an Ex-Serviceman and have passed a typewriting test in both Punjabi and English at the required speed.
• Must have passed Matriculation with Punjabi as a compulsory or elective subject, or an equivalent exam in Punjabi as approved by the Government.

2. Clerk (ਕਲਰਕ)

• Candidates must be a graduates from a recognized university or have passed the Indian Army Special Certificate of Education.
• Must be an Ex-Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) or Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) from the Army, Navy, or Air Force.
• Must have cleared the typewriting test in Punjabi and English at the prescribed speed.
• Must have passed Matriculation with Punjabi as a compulsory or elective subject, or an equivalent exam recognized by the Government.

3. Welfare Officer (ਸੈਨਿਕ ਭਲਾਈ ਪਰਬੰਧਕ)

• Must have passed Matriculation from a recognized board or have the Indian Army Special Certificate of Education.
• Must be an Ex-Junior Commissioned Officer from the Army or equivalent rank from the Navy or Air Force.
• Must have passed Matriculation with Punjabi as a compulsory or elective subject, or an equivalent exam recognized by the Government.

4. Driver (ਡਰਾਇਵਰ) 

• Must be an Ex-Serviceman.
• Should have passed Middle (8th class) with Punjabi as one of the subjects, or should have an equivalent Army Educational Certificate.
• Must have a valid driving license for a Light Motor Vehicle (LMV).
• As per rules, if the required education is less than Matric, the person must pass a Punjabi language exam at the Middle standard level.

Candidates must follow these steps to submit the application form for the Punjab Clerk and Military Welfare Recruitment 2025.

PSSSB Recruitment 2025 Selection Process

The selection process consists of a written test followed by an interview. For Clerk and Senior Assistant posts, a typing test will be conducted, and for Driver posts, a driving test will be held.

Senior Assistant & Clerk

• Candidates must pass a written test
• Shortlisted candidates must pass a typing test in English and Punjabi (30 WPM, Punjabi in Unicode Raavi font).
• The typing test is on a computer and is qualifying only.
• The merit list is prepared based on the written test marks of those who pass the typing test.

Welfare Officer (Sainik Welfare)

Merit list based on a total of 100 marks:

• Matriculation Certificate : 50 Marks
• Military/Navy/Air Force Service: 50 Marks, distributed as:

(a) Length of service in the armed forces:

1. 30 years and above: 10 Marks
2. 25 to 30 years: 8 Marks
3. Less than 25 years: 6 Marks

(b) Civil Educational Qualification:

1. Post-Graduation or higher: 10 Marks
2. Recognized Computer Course:  5 Marks

(c) Honorary Ranks:

1. Captain or equivalent (Navy/Air Force): 10 Marks
2. Lieutenant or equivalent: 8 Marks

(d) Awards:

1. Gallantry (Chakra Series): 10 Marks
2. Other Gallantry: 8 Marks
3. Distinguished Services (Chief of Staff Commendation) : 6 Marks
4. Other Commendation: 4 Marks

(e) Service Conduct in Armed Forces:

1. Exemplary: 10 Marks
2. Very Good: 6 Marks
3. Good: 4 Marks

Driver

• Eligible candidates will have to appear for a written examination.
• Based on the written exam, a Common Merit List will be prepared.

PSSSB Clerk and Military Welfare Salary 2025

The Salary for all posts is as per the 7th Pay Commission guidelines. In addition to these extra perks and allowances will be paid like, HRA, TA, DA, etc.
