GATE Notification 2024 Out: The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an entrance exam for postgraduate levels that is conducted jointly by India’s seven IITs located in Mumbai, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Chennai, Roorkee, and IISc Bengaluru on behalf of the National Coordinating Board (NCB) and GATE, the Ministry of Education (MoE). This year, the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru (IISc Bengaluru), has released the GATE Notification 2024 on its official website www.gate2024.iisc.ac.in on 30th August 2023. The complete schedule has already been announced with online registration dates, exam date, and other important dates. Candidates who wish to appear for the GATE Entrance Exam 2024 must submit their online application through the activated online portal from 30th August 2023 and the last date to apply online for GATE Registration 2024 has been extended till 05th October 2023.

The candidates who are willing for admission into M.E./ M.Tech/ Ph.D courses and PSU Recruitment must have to qualify an entrance exam i.e. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). The educational qualification required to appear for GATE 2024 Exam is a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (relevant field). There is no age limit for appearing in the GATE 2024 exam. From this year onwards, there are 30 disciplines/subjects in GATE Exam with addition of Data Science and AI subjects. Candidates can only appear in one paper of their chosen discipline. GATE Notification 2024- Important Dates
IISc Bangalore has announced the complete schedule for GATE 2024 exam on the official website www.gate2024.iisc.ac.in. The online registration dates for GATE 2024 Exam are 30th August to 05th October 2023 (Extended). The GATE 2024 Exam is going to be conducted on 3rd, 4th, 10th & 11th February 2024. GATE Application Fees
As per the GATE 2024 notification, candidates are required to pay a certain amount of the application fee. The application fee has to be paid online mode through Net banking/UPI/Credit Card/Debit Card/Wallet etc. The application forms will have to be submitted along with the required application fees. Any form without an application fee will not be accepted.

GATE 2024 Exam Pattern
The pattern for the GATE Exam 2024 has been discussed below.
- The GATE Exam 2024 will be carrying 100 marks and the duration of the exam is 3 hours.
- There will be 65 questions in the GATE 2024 Examination
- Type of Questions- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions.
- Every wrong answer in MCQ will be deducted one third (1/3) of the marks, and there will be no negative marking for NAT and MSQ.
