GATE Answer Key 2025 is an important document released by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee, to help candidates evaluate their performance and predict their probable scores in the GATE Exam 2025. Candidates must keep handy their admit cards for required login details i.e. Enrollment ID / Email Address, and Date of Birth to check the GATE Answer Key. 1. Visit the official website of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee, https://gate2025.iitr.ac.in/.
2. Click on the link that reads “Master Question Paper and Answer Key”.
3. The GATE Answer Key 2025 PDF for all subjects appears on the system screen.
4. Download the GATE Answer Key PDF for future reference.
5. Cross-check the Answers with the provisional Answer Key.

GATE 2025 Answer Key Raise Objection

Those candidates who are not satisfied with the answers that are provided by the official can raise objections. GATE Answer Key 2025 Objection Window has been provided by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee, at its official website, https://gate2025.iitr.ac.in/. While submitting the objections against the Answer Key, candidates have to pay Rs. 500 per question. Candidates can raise objects from 27th February to 1st March 2025.

Steps to Challenge GATE 2025 Answer Key

1.  Go to the official website of https://gate2025.iitr.ac.in/
2. On the homepage click on the link that reads “Contest Answer Key”.
3. Make the payment of Rs. 500 through online mode (per challenge). For NRI candidates, the fee is US $ 10.
4. After successful payment, enter the question number candidates wish to challenge.
5. Along with the challenge candidates have to provide supporting documents in the prescribed format for Justification for the contest.
6. Submit the challenge to the GATE Answer Key. 

Marking Scheme for GATE Exam 2025

The GATE Exam 2025 consists of 30 papers for various branches of engineering and science. Each paper comprises 65 questions, including 10 questions from General Aptitude. 3 hours to complete the exam.

• 1 or 2 marks is be given for the correct answer
• For 1 mark question, 1/3 mark has been deducted for wrong answer
• For 2 marks  question, 2/3 marks deducted for wrong answer
• No negative marking for MSQ & NAT
• There are no negative marks for Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions

How to Calculate Marks Using GATE Answer Key 2025

By following the below steps, candidates can estimate their GATE 2025 score and assess their chances of qualifying for the GATE Exam.

• The candidate has to tally the total negative marks for wrong attempts. (Only Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) will have negative markings. There will be no negative marking for NAT questions).
• MCQ Marks: Total marks (1 mark) + Total marks (2 marks)
• 01 Mark Question = 1 * no. of correct attempts – 1/3 * no. of wrong answer.
• 02 marks Questions = 2 * the number of correct attempts – 2/3 * the number of wrong answer
• Total Marks=(Correct 1- mark answers * 1)−(Incorrect 1-mark answers * 1/3​)+(Correct 2-mark answers * 2)−(Incorrect 2-mark answers * 2/3)
