Understand SSC CHSL Selection Process
The SSC CHSL (Combined Higher Secondary Level) selection process consists of two primary computer-based tests, followed by a mandatory document verification stage.
Tier 1 (Computer-Based Examination): It is a screening test with 100 multiple-choice questions for 200 marks covering subjects like English, quantitative aptitude, reasoning, and general awareness. It is qualifying in nature, and its marks are not counted in the final merit list.
Tier 2 (Computer-Based Exam & Skill/Typing Test): It is the core merit-determining stage containing objective sections (Session I) and a mandatory typing or skill test (Session II) depending on the post you have applied for.
Document Verification (DV): It is a mandatory final check where authorities verify your educational certificates, category-based documents and other essential certificates.
Final Message to Students
Do not get stuck on a single tricky question. If a math or reasoning puzzle takes more than a minute, mark it for review and move on. Every question carries the same weightage. Remember that negative marking can have a high impact on your score. Trust your preparation and avoid wild guessing. Maintain a high accuracy, trust your speed, and give it your absolute best shot. Wishing you all the very best.
