AP TET 2025 Exam Summary

Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh, is responsible for conducting the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (AP TET). AP TET Exam Date 2025 Out

The AP TET Exam Date 2025 for the October session has been announced by the Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh. The Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test will be conducted from 10th December 2025 onwards in all Districts of the State through a computer-based test (CBT). The exam will be conducted in 2 shifts. The shift timing will be as follows.

AP TET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

In the official AP TET 2025 Notification, the Department of School Education has mention the detailed AP TET Eligibility 2025, which includes educational qualifications. In the section below, requirements are discussed for your reference. 

AP TET Educational Qualification

The educational qualification for teacher posts is based on the AP TET Notification is mentioned below.

Primary Teachers

1. Intermediate /Senior Secondary with minimum 45% marks and pass in or pursuing the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. 

2. 5% relaxation or such percentage as permitted by the Andhra Pradesh Government at the time of teacher education course admission regarded in minimum qualifying marks at intermediate/ Senior secondary level is suitable for SC/ ST/ Differently abled aspirants.

3. Intermediate /Senior Secondary with minimum 50% marks and pass in or pursuing the final year of 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B. E/. Ed).

4. Intermediate /Senior Secondary with minimum 45% marks and pass in or pursuing the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

5. NCTE guidelines of August 2010 quote that aspirants who qualified prior to August 2010 are eligible with the above-said qualification or percentage of marks.

6. B.Sc./ B.A. /B. Com pass or pursue the final year of a 2-year diploma in elementary education.

Upper Primary Teachers

1. B.Sc./ B.A./ B.Com. Pass with a minimum of 45% marks and pass in or pursue the 1-year bachelor in education. 

2. 5% Relaxation in minimum qualifying marks in 12th Class/ Senior Secondary level is allowed for ST/ SC /Differently abled candidates.

3. The quantum relaxation in terms of Andhra Pradesh state government orders provided at the time of respective teacher education course admission with qualifying marks in B.A/ B.com / B.Sc degree is allowed for ST/ SC/ BC/ Differently abled candidates.

4. If the aspirants have not secured the requisite amount of percentage in bachelor’s degree but secured post-graduation in relevant school subjects, she/he will be eligible for applying for paper 2 (a) (b).

5. B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. Pass with at least 50% marks and pass in or pursue 1 year B. Ed Special Education Course.

AP TET October 2025 Application Fee

The fee for submission of an online application and the conduct of a computer-based examination is Rs. 1000 for each paper. The application fee is the same for all categories, and without an application fee, candidates' application forms will not be considered complete. How to Apply for the AP TET 2025 Exam?

The candidates interested in the AP TET 2025 Exam will have to submit their duly filled application forms at the official portal www.aptet.apcfss.in. Follow the below steps to submit your applications for AP TET 2025

1.  Open the website Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh, www.aptet.apcfss.in.
2.  Click on the online application for the posts of the AP TET Examination 2025.
3. Fill all the particulars in the online application carefully at appropriate places.
4. Upload a recent passport-size photograph and signature.
5.  Pay the requisite amount of the application fee, if required.
6.  Check all the details and submit the application form.
7. Take a printout of the AP TET 2025 application form and keep it for future reference.

AP TET Exam Certificate Validity

The AP TET-qualified candidates will be awarded the eligibility certificates. The AP TET certificates would remain valid for life. The AP TET certificate contains the following details:

1. Name and address of the candidate

2. Registration number

3. Year/ Month of award of a certificate

4. Marks obtained in each paper

5. Class level of its validity (Class 1 to 5/, 6 to 8 or Both)

Weightage to AP TET 2025 scores for Teacher Recruitment in AP

The AP TET Marks & Scores will be added to the DSC Exam Final Results. The Andhra Pradesh State Government giving the 20% Marks. Weightage for AP TET Exam in AP DSC 2025. 20% Marks Weightage will be given for all the AP TET candidates in DSC 2025 Recruitment of all the Posts.

AP TET 2025 Exam Pattern

In the below section the applicants will be able to get the complete information about the AP TET 2025 Exam Pattern for the entrance exam such as the exam mode, exam duration, exam language, total questions, total marks, marking scheme, negative markings, and many more.

1. Mode of Exam: The entrance exam will be organized in online.
2. Duration of Exam: The entrance exam will be organized for 2 hrs. 30 minutes duration only.
3. Language of Exam: The applicant will have to appear for the entrance exam in the English language.
4. Total Number of Questions: The question paper of the entrance exam will contain a total of 150 questions for the applicants to answer.
5. Total Marks: The question paper of the entrance exam will contain a maximum of 150 marks.
6. Type of Questions: The applicants will have to appear objective-type multiple-choice questions in the entrance exam.
7. Marking Scheme: The applicant will be awarded with 1 mark for each correct answer given
8. Negative Marking: No provision of negative markings in the entrance exam.
9. Several papers: The question paper of the entrance exam will contain two papers (Paper I and Paper II).

AP TET 2025 Syllabus 

AP TET 2025 Syllabus is the most important for the candidates to prepare for the examination according to the syllabus and plan a better strategy for the upcoming examination. AP TET Syllabus consists of Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates can check the details from here. 

AP TET 2025 Paper-I Syllabus

1. The test portions on Child Development & Pedagogy will focus on the Educational Psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the primary level.
2. Language–I of AP TET Paper-I: Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, and Odiya are offered as First languages in the schools under the state's syllabus. Candidates have to choose among these 6 languages and he/she must have studied that language as a study medium or first language up to class X.
3. The candidates who studied CBSE/ ICSE curriculum can choose the Language which they studied up to Class X.
4. Language II shall be English for all the candidates.
5. The syllabus for Language-I & II shall be based on Proficiency in the Language, Elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities.
6. The syllabus for Mathematics & Environmental Studies is designed based on topics of Classes I to V.

AP TET 2025 Paper-II(A) and Paper-II(B) Syllabus

1. The test portions on Child Development & Pedagogy will focus on the Educational Psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the Elementary level for Paper-II (A) Physical Education Pedagogy for Paper-II (B) will focus on the Elementary level.
2. As Language-I other than Language teachers have to choose between Telugu, Urdu, Kannada, English, Hindi, Tamil, Odiya, and Sanskrit, Candidate must have studied the chosen language as a study medium or first language up to class X.
3. The candidates who studied CBSE/ ICSE curriculum can choose the Language which they studied up to Class X.
4. Language Teachers have to choose the Language of their study in Pandit Training concerned under Language-I of TET Paper II-(A).
5. For Physical Education Teacher a candidate has to choose one among five Languages Telugu, Urdu, Tamil, Odiya, and Kannada as Language I of TET Paper-II (B).
6. The syllabus for Language-I & II for Paper-II(A) shall be based on proficiency in the Language, Elements of Language, Communication and Comprehension abilities.
7. For Physical Education Teachers the syllabus for Language-I & II shall be based on proficiency in the Language, Elements of Language, Communication and Comprehension abilities.

AP TET 2025 Exam Centres

Candidates need to choose the district of their choice. If the session capacity of a particular district or centre is exhausted, then the candidate needs to select another date and session at the available districts. If a candidate fails to opt examination centre on the prescribed date, the education department will allot the centre. The allotment of centres is at the discretion of the department and a request for a change of centres or exam sessions is not allowed under any circumstances. Candidates are allotted the exam centre from among the 5 preferences given by them.

AP TET 2025 Result

AP TET 2025 Results will be released for the candidates who qualify for the AP TET 2025 Exam. To download the AP TET 2025 Result, follow these steps:

1. Visit the Official Website.
2. Click on Results.
3. Enter your Admit Card number and Date of Birth.
4. Click on Get Result.
5. AP TET Results 2025 will be announced on their official website.
6. Candidates shall check their results and take a printout of the result sheet for further reference.

AP TET 2025 Merit List

1. After the written exam is completed the board authorities plan to announce the TET merit list. The board authorities issue the Andhra Pradesh TET 2025 merit list on their web portal. After the exam is completed for 15 days the board authorities declare the eligibility test merit list. The AP state board authorities may issue the exam merit list on the official website. Once the board issues the exam merit list in the candidate visit the official site and check the test merit list. After a few days, the board prepares the AP TET Merit list 2025. The board authorities prepare the merit list by using the cutoff marks. The state board authorities issue the selected list file on their portal.
