The Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) is going to recruit posts in various Police and Administrative Services in the state. A total of 246 vacant posts will be filled through the CGPSC Exam 2024. CGPSC Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2024
The official syllabus for the CGPSC 2024 exam has been released along with its notification. There are two stages of the CGPSC exam, the preliminary exam and the main exam. Candidates who are familiar with the CGPSC Syllabus will be able to determine their strong and weak subjects well in advance of the exam and create a study plan to improve on their weak areas. There will be a negative marking of 1/3 marks in the Prelims Exam while the Mains exam will not have any negative marking.

There are three steps in the CGPSC Selection Process 2024, preliminary, main, and interview. Applicants must successfully complete each of these steps to be appointed to the desired posts. CGPSC Prelims Exam Pattern 2024
It is crucial to be aware of the CGPSC Prelims Exam Pattern 2024. It gives you information about the subjects, question types, marking scheme, and overall score, enabling you to create an effective test-taking plan.
- The paper will be in offline mode
- The paper consists of Objective Type Questions
- The Prelims Exam consists of 2 Papers
- Each paper contains 200 marks
- Each paper contains 100 questions
- 2 marks will be given for each right answer
- 1/3 mark will be deducted as a negative marking for each wrong answer
- A time duration of 2 hours will be given for completing both papers
- The required minimum score for the unreserved category in each paper will be 33% and for the reserved category, it will be 23%.

CGPSC Mains Exam Pattern 2024
Candidates short-listed for the Main Examination based on Preliminary Examination (Screening Test) must appear for all the seven
papers in the Main Examination. Candidates selected for the Interview based on Main Examination must appear in the Interview. Absence
in any paper of the Main Examination and Interview will be liable for disqualification.
- The Main Exam will consist of conventional question papers with short, medium, and long answers.
- All the question papers except the first -"Language" may be answered in Hindi or English chosen by the candidates.
