As mentioned earlier, the TS SET Exam is only a qualifying eligibility test. After qualifying for the same, candidates will have to undergo the post-specific selection process determined by the university or college for which they are applying. This may include one or more of the following stages:

TS SET Exam Pattern 2026
There will be two papers in the Telangana State Eligibility Test, i.e. Paper I and Paper II, and candidates must be aware of the marking scheme, type of questions, exam duration, etc., of both papers. This will help them prepare for their upcoming examination more easily, helping them focus on subjects with more weightage.
TS SET Paper 1 Exam Pattern 2026
Paper I shall consist of 50 objective-type compulsory questions, each carrying 2 marks. Candidates can get to know about the complete exam pattern for the first paper from below.
- Questions that will be asked in this paper will test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness of candidates.
- No marks will be deducted for wrong or unattempted questions.
- The TS SET 2026 question paper will be bilingual, i.e., in both English & Telugu languages.

TS SET Paper 2 Exam Pattern 2026
Paper II will consist of 100 objective-type compulsory questions and will be conducted for a total of 200 marks, which will be based on the subject selected by the candidate.
- All the questions of Paper II will be compulsory, covering the entire syllabus.
- There is no negative marking for the incorrect answer.
- For every correct answer, +2 will be awarded to the candidates.
- This exam will be conducted for 2 hours (120 minutes).
