TS SET Exam Date 2025 Postponed, New Schedule Soon

On behalf of the Telangana State Government, Osmania University is responsible for conducting the Telangana State Eligibility Test (TG-SET) 2025 to assess the eligibility the candidates for Assistant Professor and Lecturer posts in Telangana universities and colleges. As per the notice released by the officials, the TG SET Exam 2025, which was scheduled for 10th, 11th, and 12th December 2025, has been postponed. The new TS SET Exam Date 2025 for the CBT Exam will be announced soon at www.telanganaset.org.

TS SET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Those who want to apply for the TS SET examination must fulfill some basic eligibility norms; only the candidates fulfilling these requirements can appear for this state eligibility test; otherwise will be disqualified.

Educational Qualification

Below, we have mentioned some important educational qualifications that are necessary to be acquired by candidates if they want to apply for Assistant or Lecturer posts in universities and colleges of Telangana.

• Candidates may apply if they have scored 555 marks (without rounding off) in a master's degree (M.A., M.Sc., M.Com., MBA, MLISC, M.Ed., M.PEd., MCJ, LLM, MCA, and M.Tech (CSE & IT only).
• Candidates belonging to the Backward Classes (BC), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories who have scored at least 50% of marks in their master's degree (without rounding off) are also eligible.
• Ph.D. holders who passed their Master's degree examination before September 19, 1991, (regardless of the date the results were announced) will be allowed for a 5% aggregate mark relaxation, or a drop from 55% to 50%, to appear in SET.
• Candidates who are pursuing their Master’s Degree course, candidates who have appeared for their qualifying Master’s Degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited, or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed, may also apply for this TS SET 2025 examination.

Age Limit

The exam conducting authorities haven't specified any age limit for the TS SET examination; candidates just need to fulfill educational qualification requirements, irrespective of the upper age limit, to apply for the Telangana State Eligibility Test.

Candidates are advised to fill out their registration form on or before the last date i.e. 6th November 2025, to avoid last-minute technical glitches. Candidates must submit their application form carefully; providing incorrect information leads to the rejection of the application form.

TS SET Exam 2025 Application Fees

Those who have to appear in the Telangana State Eligibility Test need to pay an examination fee while filling out an application form, which will not be refunded/adjusted in any situation. Only online payment modes are accepted; payment received through money order, IPO, etc., will not be considered. Candidates belonging to the general category will have to pay Rs. 2000/- for the TS SET 2025 examination.

Note- Candidates belonging to states outside Telangana will be counted as General (UR) candidates irrespective of their reservation.

Steps to Apply for the TS SET Exam 2025

Those who want to apply for this state eligibility test can follow a few steps that are mentioned below and easily fill out the application form for the upcoming examination.

1. Open the official portal of Telangana State Eligibility Test, i.e., www.telanganaset.org.

2. Scroll down on the home screen and find the 'Useful Links' section.

3. Now, click on the 'Apply Online' tab under this section, and a new page will appear.

4. Read out all instructions as displayed on screen and then click the 'Apply Now' button.

5. Now start entering your name, parents' name, category, date of birth, e-mail ID, address, mobile number, educational qualifications, preferred exam center, etc.

6. Create a password after entering all relevant information, and then enter the security pin as displayed on the screen.

7.  Click on the 'Continue' button and then upload necessary documents, including a photograph, signature, caste certificate, etc,. In a prescribed format.

8. Now, pay the examination fee as per your specific category and submit the application form.

TS SET Exam Pattern 2025

The TS SET Exam 2025 will include two papers, i.e., Paper I and Paper II, which will be conducted in a single session for 3 hours (180 minutes). Those who want to appear for this examination need to properly understand its exam pattern to get a better idea of the exam.

• Each question carries 2 marks, i.e., candidates will be rewarded +2 for every correct answer in both papers.
• There will only be objective-type questions in Paper I and II.
• All questions are compulsory to attempt in both papers.
• The mode of the TS SET exam will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT).
• The language of examination will be bilingual, i.e., in English and Telugu.
• The time duration for the exam will be 3 Hours
