The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the official notification for the Constable (GD) posts in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and SSF, Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles, and Sepoy in the Narcotics Control Bureau through the SSC GD Examination 2026. Candidates who have passed their 10th standard are eligible to apply for these vacancies. Out of the total 25487 vacancies announced through  23467 are for male candidates, and 2020 are for female candidates. SSC GD Vacancy 2025 (Males)

For male candidates, 23467 General Duty Constable vacancies are announced for BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP, AR, and SSF. The maximum vacancies are for the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and the minimum is for the Secretariat Security Force (SSF). SSC GD Vacancy 2025 Important Dates

Candidates interested in the SSC GD 2025-26 vacancies have to submit their applications online before 31st December 2025 (11 pm) at www.ssc.gov.in. Any changes in the application forms can be made between 8th to 10th January 2026.

SSC GD Vacancy 2025-26 Eligibility

Age Limit- Candidates must be 18-23 years as on 01-01-2026 (born not before 02-01-2003 and not later than 01-01-2008). Age relaxations apply: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 3 years for Ex-Servicemen (after deducting military service). Additional relaxations exist for children/dependents of 1984/2002 riot victims (5-10 years based on category).

Educational Qualification- Matriculation (Class 10th) pass from a recognised board is mandatory as on 01-01-2026. Candidates must provide documentary proof (marksheet/certificate) during verification; pending results disqualify applicants. NCC certificate holders (A/B/C) receive bonus marks (2-5%) if claimed in the application and verified.

Nationality- Citizens of India only; state/UT-wise vacancies require a valid Domicile/PRC certificate from the state at the Document Verification. Assam candidates need residential proof from the District Authority; West Pakistani Refugees in J&K/Ladakh require a Nativity Certificate.
