The much-awaited Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Group D Exam Date for 2025 has been officially updated, bringing clarity to 10.82 million candidates who were anxiously waiting for the exam dates. Now the Railway Group D Exam has been scheduled from 27th November 2025 to 16th January 2026, for which city intimation slips will begin to be released on 19th November 2025.
Railway Group D New Exam Date 2025 Out
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is set to conduct the Railway Group D Exam for the recruitment of 32438 vacancies across various Level 1 posts in Indian Railways. The RRB Group D Computer-Based Test (CBT) 2025 will be held over multiple days starting from 27th November 2025 and ending on 16th January 2026. The exact dates and venue details will be informed to the candidates through their respective exam city slips and admit cards.

The official announcement for the new Railway Group D Exam Date 2025 has been made through a release of official notice on 18th November 2025 at all regional websites. Candidates must note that the notice only depicts the start date and end date of the exam, including city intimation and admit card release dates. Railway Group D 2025 Selection Process
Only candidates who pass all these stages are eligible for the appointment letter for Group D posts in Indian Railways.
Computer-Based Test (CBT): The RRB Group D CBT consists of 100 multiple-choice questions spanning subjects like Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness & Current Affairs. The total exam duration is 90 minutes, with negative marking of one-third marks for every incorrect answer.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates who clear the CBT move to the PET, which tests physical fitness. The requirements differ for male and female candidates (e.g., running certain distances within set times). Candidates with 40% disability are exempt from PET.
Document Verification (DV): Candidates who pass CBT and PET must provide original documents for verification to confirm eligibility. Failure to provide the correct documents or meet requirements leads to disqualification.
Medical Examination: A medical test follows document verification to ensure candidates meet the physical and medical standards required for the job.
