To be selected as a Naib Tehsildar in the Revenue Department, candidates must pass a two-stage selection process: a Written Exam and a Descriptive Test. JKSSB Naib Tehsildar Exam Pattern 2025

The exam pattern of Naib Tehsildar consists of Paper-I will consist of Multiple-Choice Objective Type Questions, and Paper-II will focus on the Urdu portion and will be descriptive in nature, and it is a qualifying exam.

Written Exam

  • There will be 120 questions asked from English, GK with Jammu and Kashmir, Information Technology, Maths and Reasoning
  • Each Question carries 1 mark
  • 0.25 marks will be subtracted for each incorrect answer
  • Candidates must complete the exam in 2 hours

Descriptive Test:

Candidates who clear the written exam will be called for the descriptive Test, which is a qualifying test. This exam consists of a Reading and Writing Section, the reading section carries 20 marks and the writing section carries 30 marks
Reading Section: Candidates have to answer 20 comprehension questions, with each question carrying 1 mark.

Translation of Passage from English to Urdu and Vice-Versa 10 Marks

In Paper-I:

  • Candidates under Open Merit (OM) must score at least 20% marks.
  • Candidates from other categories must score at least 15% marks to qualify for Paper-II.

In Paper-II:

  • OM candidates must score at least 40% marks.
  • Other category candidates must score at least 35%, with at least 33% marks in both the Reading and Writing sections.
