India Post GDS 3rd Merit List 2026 Out, Download State-wise Result PDF

The Department of Posts, Government of India, has released the India Post GDS 3rd Merit List 2026 at the official website www.indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. A total of 6,690 candidates have been provisionally shortlisted across various categories for 19 postal circles in the 3rd Merit List. Candidates have to verify their documents at the Divisional Office of the Division on or before 26th May 2026.

Candidates who applied for 28,636 Gramin Dak Sevak vacancies under the Online Engagement Schedule-I, January 2026, can check state-wise Supplementary List – III from the official website www.indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. The India Post GDS 3rd Merit List 2026 PDF includes the registration numbers of candidates shortlisted for the Document Verification (DV) round.

GDS 3rd Merit List Document Verification

Candidates who declared qualified as per the 3rd Merit List PDF will be called for the document verification process, the schedule for which will be released along with the result. Candidates should reach the designated office with originals & 2 sets of photocopies of all relevant documents, and get their documents verified at the Divisional Office of the Division

What are the Documents Required for the DV Process?

Candidates should report at the selected Division office of their circle with originals and 2 sets of photocopies of all relevant documents. These documents are:

Class 10 mark sheet and certificate
Valid identity proof (Aadhaar card, PAN card, etc.)
Category certificate (if applicable)
Residence/domicile certificate
Recent passport-size photographs

What If My Name Is Not in the 3rd Merit List?

India Post may release a 4th or 5th Merit List if vacancies remain unfilled after the 3rd list’s Document Verification process concludes.

Multiple supplementary lists (up to 5 or more) may be released in the same recruitment cycle
Candidates with scores just below the 3rd list cut-off have good chances of appearing in subsequent lists.
Candidates should keep visiting the official portal and stay alert for any notifications via SMS and email.
Candidates must keep the registration used during the application valid for all subsequent lists.
