Delhi Police Constable PE & MT Details

The Constable (Executive) post is the biggest recruitment drive this cycle, with 7,201 vacancies (4,825 for male candidates and 2,376 for female candidates). Over 66,000 candidates were shortlisted to appear for the physical test.

PE & MT Components:

  • Race: 1600 metres for male candidates; 800 metres for female candidates, with time limits varying by age group.
  • Long Jump and High Jump: Minimum distance/height requirements vary by age and gender.
  • Physical Measurement Test (PMT): Height and chest measurement (chest measurement applicable for male candidates only).

Delhi Police PE & MT Test Format

  1. Candidates who qualify in the Race become eligible for the further events – Long Jump and High Jump.
  2. Candidates get three attempts each to qualify in the Long Jump and High Jump.
  3. No appeal against disqualification in the Race, Long Jump, or High Jump will be entertained.
  4. The Physical Measurement Test (PMT) will be conducted only for candidates who qualify in the Physical Endurance Test (Race, Long Jump, and High Jump).
