The Ministry of Education has taken a significant step towards streamlining recruitment for teaching and non-teaching posts in central educational institutions. The latest development is the assignment of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to conduct a Common Recruitment Exam for both the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS).
Common Recruitment Exam By CBSE for KVS & NVS
Recently, as per an affidavit submitted in the High Court of Delhi, the Ministry of Education decided to handle recruitment for all teaching and non-teaching positions in KVS and NVS through a single KVS & NVS Joint Recruitment examination conducted by CBSE. The online registration for both recruitments (Advt No 01/2025) will begin from 14th November 2025 onwards at www.cbse.gov.in, www.kvsangathan.nic.in, and www.navodaya.gov.in. The last date for submitting applications as notified is 4th December 2025.
The Ministry of Education’s move to authorise CBSE with the joint recruitment for KVS and NVS signifies a major policy shift, aiming for fairness, efficiency, and simplicity. Aspirants planning for these recruitment exams should follow official updates for further details.
