Assam Special TET Exam 2026- Highlights

Assam TET is the qualifying exam for applying for a Teacher Recruitment in elementary-level schools. The qualified candidates of the Special Assam Teacher Eligibility Test-2026 are eligible to
participate in the recruitment process of teachers only in the State of Assam

Special Assam TET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for the Assam Special Assam Teacher Eligibility Test-2026, candidates make sure they fulfill the Assam Special TET Eligibility Criteria 2026 in terms of educational qualification. Candidates who don’t fulfill the eligibility their application form will be rejected at any stage of the selection process.

Educational Qualification for Lower Primary TET (Classes I to V)

• Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) (OR) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) (OR)
• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) (OR)
• Graduation and two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)

Educational Qualification for Upper Primary TET (Classes VI to VIII)

• Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) (OR) At least 50% marks in Graduation and B. Ed. (OR)
• At least 55% marks in Post Graduation or equivalent grade and three year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. (OR)
• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed) (OR)
• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4- year B.A./B. Sc. Ed. Or B.A. Ed/B. Sc. Ed.  (OR)
• Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year B. Ed.(Special Education)

• The Assam Special TET Exam consists of 150 objective-type MCQ-type questions.
• Each question will carry 1 mark. Total marks will be 150.
• The time duration of the exam will be 150 minutes.
• There is no negative marking for wrong answers.
• Medium of question paper: Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, English
