Candidates who find their registration number in the circle-wise GDS merit list PDF have been shortlisted to appear for the Document Verification (DV) round, which is the last stage before the final appointment. GDS Merit List 2026 Tie-Breaking Rules
If two candidates have the exact same Class 10 marks, India Post uses the following priority order to break the tie:
- Older candidate gets preference (by date of birth)
- If still tied: ST Female → SC Female → OBC Female → EWS Female → UR Female
- Then: ST Male → SC Male → OBC Male → EWS Male → UR Male
