APSSB CGL Selection Process 2026
APSSB is recruiting eligible candidates for various posts in different government departments. Candidates who want to get a job through APSSB CGL will go through multiple stages of the selection process.
Written Exam: The first stage of the selection process is a written test, except for Personal Assistant (Stenographer Grade III), where objective-type questions will be asked in the written exam. The written exam will consist of 100 questions for 200 marks.
Skill Test: For the post of Personal Assistant (Stenographer Grade III), the skill test will be conducted before the written exam. Only those who qualify for the skill test will be called for the written test. The skill tests include: Dictation: 5 Minutes @80 WPM & Transcription in English for 5 minutes.
APSSB CGL Exam Pattern 2026
Candidates who are going to apply online for the APSSB SSC CGL Exam should be better understanding of the exam pattern. The written exam is conducted in an Objective-type-format and includes questions from general awareness, general intelligence & reasoning ability, numerical ability & English language.
- The written exam will consist of 200 questions for 200 marks.
- There is no negative marking
- Candidates who secure a minimum 33% marks in the written examination shall be eligible for the next round of the selection process.
- The total duration of the exam is 2 hours.

APSSB CGL Salary 2026
APSSB CGL Salary is determined by the APSSB according to the 7th Pay Commission. Selected candidates will get the pay level 5 and a salary between Rs. 29,200/- to Rs. 92,300/- per month. Along with the salary, selected candidates receive several additional benefits along with the basic salary.
