West Bengal College Service Commission (WBCSC) has released an official notice regarding WB SET Exam Date 2026 for the 28th WB State Eligibility Test. The notice has been released on 11th March 2026, stating that the offline WB SET 2026 exam will be conducted on a single day on 13th December 2026. Further details for the eligibility test will be released along with the official notification pdf and only candidates submitting the application forms will be eligible to appear for the exam.
WB SET Exam Date 2026 Out
As per the latest WB SET Exam Date 2026 notice, the 28th WB State Eligibility Test 2026 has been scheduled for 13th December 2026 (Sunday). The West Bengal SET Exam will consist of 2 papers and will be held in two separate sessions. The first paper will be held from 10:30 am to 11:30 am, and the second paper will be held from 12 noon to 2 pm.

WB SET 2026 Exam Date Official Notice
The exam date for the 28th SET Examination has been officially announced with the release of a notice on 11th March 2026 at the official website, www.wbcsconline.in. The exam will be conducted for 33 subjectes on a single day.

WB SET 2026 Exam Pattern & Structure
- The WB SET Exam will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions.
- The exam consists of 02 papers. Paper 1 and Paper 2.
- Paper I shall consist of 50 objective-type compulsory questions, each carrying 2 marks. The questions, which will be general, are intended to assess the teaching and research aptitude of the candidate.
- Paper II shall consist of 100 objective-type compulsory questions, each carrying 2 marks, which will be based on the subject selected by the candidate.
- The time duration for paper I is 01 hour, and paper 2 is 02 hours.
- For each correct question, 2 marks shall be awarded.
- There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.

WB SET 2026- Minimum Qualifying Marks
The minimum qualifying marks for WB State Eligibility Test 2026 are as follows
- General (Unreserved) /EWS – 40%
- SC, ST, OBC (belonging to Non-Creamy Layer)/PWD, and Transgender – 35%
