Bihar Police SI Result 2026 reflects candidates’ qualifying status in the written exam. Written exam qualification does not guarantee final selection, but candidates who qualify for the preliminary examination will be called for the next stage of the selection process, such as the main examination. The main exam will consist of 2 papers, such as Hindi and General Studies. Candidates must clear the mains examination for the next round of the selection process.

Bihar Police SI 2026 Selection Process

The selection of candidates for the 1799 vacancies of Police Sub-Inspector posts in the Home (Police) Dept., Govt. of Bihar consists of the following stages:

1. Preliminary Written Examination – Conducted on 18th & 21th January 2026 (Completed)
2. Mains Written Examination – Qualified candidates in the prelims exam are eligible to appear for the mains exam, whose dates will be announced shortly by officials. The mains exam covers General Hindi & General Studies in two papers
3. Physical Efficiency Test and Physical Standard Test – The PET PST is qualifying in nature and checks the physical fitness and endurance of candidates through activities such as running, jumping, and other physical tasks.
4. Document Verification – Shortlisted candidates must present their original documents for verification. These may include educational certificates, identity proof, category certificate (if applicable), domicile certificate, and other required documents.
