Bihar Police Subordinate Service Commission (BPSSC) has released a total of 1799 vacancies for the post of Sub Inspector. Before applying for the Bihar Police SI Recruitment 2026, candidates must ensure that they fulfill the required eligibility criteria as specified by the BPSSC. To be eligible to apply for the Bihar Police SI Recruitment 2026, candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree (Graduation) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized University, and they must be in the age group of 20 to 37 years. The age relaxation in the upper age limit for female, SC, ST, and OBC category candidates will also be provided as per the Government rules. Bihar SI Nationality 2026

The candidates who will be applying for the post of Sub Inspector must be citizens of India. Male, Female, and Third Gender (Transgender) candidates are all eligible to apply. Candidates must provide proof of nationality, such as a valid passport, voter ID, or other government-issued identification documents.

Bihar Police SI Educational Qualification 2026

The Bihar Police SI Educational Qualification 2026 criteria will be as follows;

• The candidate must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree (Graduation) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized University.
• The degree must be obtained on or before 01 August 2026.
• Candidates appearing in the final year of graduation must produce proof of passing by this date.

Bihar Police SI Age Limit 2026 (As on 01.08.2026)

Age will be calculated as on 01 August 2026. Candidates whose maximum age is fixed as on 01 August 2024 (as per government rules) will also be eligible. Relaxations will be applied only to permanent residents of Bihar. Candidates from other states will be considered as General (UR) and will get no relaxation.
