BSSC CGL Selection Process 2025
Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) will conduct 2 two-stage selection process, i.e. Preliminary Examination and Mains Exam, to recruit eligible candidates for 1883 vacancies for various Graduate Level posts. Those candidates who successfully pass both stages will be called for verification of documents.
Stage 1 – Preliminary Examination: BSSC will conduct the BSSC Graduate Level Preliminary Examination to shortlist eligible candidates for the mains exam. Only those candidates who will be registered for 1883 (increased) vacancies will be eligible to appear for the prelims exam.
Stage 2 – Mains Exam: Based on candidates’ performance in BSSC CGL Prelims exam, a total times of total number of vacancies will be shortlisted to appear for the mains exam.
BSSC CGL 4 Exam Pattern 2025
BSSC CGL 4 Exam is conducted in two stages i.e., prelims and mains, so candidates must refer to the exam pattern for both these examinations. To appear in this exam, candidates must be well aware exam pattern for the marking scheme, number of questions, exam duration, etc.
BSSC CGL Prelims Exam Pattern 2025
The BSSC CGL preliminary examination will be conducted for a total of 600 marks and is qualifying in nature. Candidates can refer to the points and the table to get a detailed exam pattern for the prelims exam.
- There will be a total of 150 questions from General Science & Maths, General Studies, Logical Reasoning/Mental Ability/Comprehension subjects.
- All questions will be objective-type questions.

- There is a negative marking; 1 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.
- BSSC CGL exam will be conducted for a total duration of 2 hours and 15 minutes.
