Malda, Kolkata, and Bhubaneswar have emerged as the toughest zones for RRB ALP CEN 01/2026, each drawing an extremely high volume of applications relative to the vacancies on offer:
- Malda: Just 559 vacancies against 12,268 forms — only about 22 candidates per post, marking it the most competitive zone this cycle.
- Kolkata: 841 vacancies against 27,352 forms, at roughly 33 candidates per post.
- Bhubaneswar: 801 vacancies against 38,047 forms, at around 48 candidates per post.
Which RRB Zones Have Comparatively Lower Competition?
At the other end, a few zones have seen a much higher pile-up of applications per vacancy:
