RRB NTPC 05/2024 Fee Refund Process Starts, Check Your Accounts

The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have started the refund of examination fee to all candidates who participated in the First Stage Computer-Based Test (CBT) for NTPC (Graduate) exam (CEN 05/2024) held in June 2025. The Fee refunds have already been credited to most candidates. Many candidates faced failed transactions due to incorrect bank account details submitted at the time of registration.

RRB NTPC 05/2024 Fee Refund Process Starts

Candidates who have appeared in the first stage of the Computer-Based Test (CBT-1) and submitted correct bank details during the registration process, the fee has been refunded to their bank account after deducting applicable bank charges. The refund amount varies by category:

• General/OBC Category –  Candidates had paid Rs. 500 as the application fee. Out of this amount, Rs. 400/- is refunded after deduction of bank charges upon appearing in the 1st Stage CBT.
• SC/ST/PwBD/Female/Ex-Servicemen/Minority/EBC Categories – Candidates had paid Rs. 250/- as the application fee, and candidates have been refunded the Rs. 250/-.

RRB NTPC Refund Rectification Process for Failed Transactions

The fee failures occurred due to various factors, such as wrong account numbers and incorrect IFSC codes submitted by candidates during the application form. All affected candidates will be individually notified about the failure via SMS and/or Email on 2nd June 2026.

To facilitate candidates to correct their Bank Account details, a Bank Account Rectification Link will be provided on the official websites of RRBs, which will be avaiable from 3rd to 12th June 2026. 

Steps by Step process to bank account details for RRB NTPC Fee Transition

• Visit the official website of your regional RRB.
• On the homepage of RRB, candidates have to click on the Bank Account Rectification Link under the CEN 05/2024 notification section.
• It is manadatory for candidates to verify their Aadhaar number.
• Now, the candidate’s Aadhaar-linked bank account is displayed for confirmation.
• If the candidate’s bank account is not linked to Aadhaar, candidates are redirected to the NPCI portal to link one before returning to complete the process.
• Candidates can submit a family member’s Aadhaar-linked bank account for the refund procedure.
