WBPSC Clerkship Notification 2023-24 Overview

Step 4: Click on Online Registration and enter your name, other details, valid mobile number, and email id.

Step 5: A unique application ID and password will be sent to the candidate’s registered mobile number and email ID.

Step 6: Sign in using the Applicant ID/ Enrollment ID and Password.

Step 7: Enter your education details and other required information.

Step 8: Upload your scanned photographs and signature in the proper format as mentioned in the instructions.

WBPSC Clerkship 2024 Application Fee

To complete the WBPSC Clerkship Application forms candidates are required to pay a certain amount of application fee. Candidates belonging to the general category have to pay Rs. 110 + Service Charge. Candidates from SC/ST, OBC, and Economically Weaker Sections are exempted from the application fee. Aspiring candidates who are interested in Clerkship posts must ensure their eligibility before submitting application forms for WBPSC Clerkship Recruitment 2024. Candidates must have passed the Madhyamik Examination/ 10th from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or from any State Board or CBSE to be eligible to apply online for WBPSC Clerkship Recruitment 2023-24. Candidates must have basic knowledge of computer operation with a typing speed of 20 words per minute in English or 10 words per minute in Bengali.

The age limit required for the WBPSC Clerkship Notification is 18 to 40 years. The candidates must have been born not earlier than 2nd January 1983 and not later than 1st January 2005. The age relaxation for the reserve category will be provided as per government rules.

WBPSC Clerkship 2024 Selection Process

The selection of the candidates for Clerk posts will be based on the Part 1 exam, Part 2 exam, and typing test. The typing test is qualifying in nature and the final merit selection of the candidates will be based on the candidate’s score in Part 1 (objective type) and Part 2 (Conventional type).

• Stage 1: Part 1 (objective type) – The West Bengal Public Service Commission(WBPSC) will conduct the WBPSC Clerkship Part 1 examination to shortlist candidates for the next stage of the selection process. Part 1 Exam consists of objective-type questions in English, General Studies, and Arithmetic subjects.
• Stage 2: Part 2 (Conventional type) – Qualified candidates in the Part 1 exam will be able to appear for the Part 2 exam which consists of conventional-type questions topics from English and Bengali/ Hindi/ Urdu/ Nepali/ Santali.
• Stage 3: Computer Knowledge & Typing Test: Those candidates who cleared the WBPSC Clerkship Part-I and Part-II exams will be invited to appear for the typing test and test on computer knowledge.

WBPSC Clerkship 2024 Exam Pattern

The WBPSC Clerkship Exam Pattern 2024 has been released along with the WBPSC Clerkship Notification 2023-24. The examination will be held in two successive stages, viz., i) Part-I (Objective Type) and (ii) Part-II (Conventional Type –Written). Here we have shared the WBPSC Clerkship Exam Pattern for part 1 and part 2 of the examination.

• WBPSC Clerkship Exam Part 1 consists of an objective-type total of 100 questions.
• Each question carries a 01 mark.
• The time duration for the exam will be 90 minutes.
• There shall be a negative marking of 0.25 mark for each wrong answer to MCQ-type Questions.
• The questions will be asked in English and Bengali language.

WBPSC Clerkship Exam Part 2 will consist of conventional-type questions for which the candidate will have 60 minutes to complete the exam. Mains exam tests the knowledge of candidates in the subjects of English, Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali/Santali.

Note: The assessment of computer literacy and typing skills will be conducted after passing Part-I and Part-II exams.

WBPSC Clerkship Minimum Qualifying Marks

The selection of the candidates for WBPSC Clerkship Vacancy 2023-24 will be done based on the Part 1 exam, Part 2 exam, and Tying Test. The West Bengal Public Service Commission(WBPSC) has fixed the category-wise qualifying marks in total. Candidates have to clear the minimum qualifying percentage in Part-I & Part-II exams together.
