A total of 24 vacancies have been announced for the post of Deputy Educational Officer / Gazetted Headmaster Grade I under the School Education Department. The posts are classified as Multi-Zonal (MZ).

What are the eligibility criteria for the Deputy Educational Officer post?

Education Qualification – Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from any university recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) with subjects eligible for admission into the B.Ed. course.

Age Limit (as on July 1, 2026) –

• General / OC – 18 to 44 years
• SC / ST / BC / EWS – 18 to 49 years (5-year relaxation)
• Persons with Disabilities (PwD) – 18 to 54 years (10-year relaxation)
• Ex-Servicemen – 3 years + period of service rendered
