When will UPTET Official Answer Key 2026 Release?

The Answer Key for the UPTET Exam 2026 will be released in the 2nd week of July 2026 by the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) at their official website, www.upessc.up.gov.in. The answer key will carry all the correct answers for the questions that were asked in the exam, with the help of which candidates can cross-check their marked answers with the correct ones to calculate their tentative scores.

What is UPTET Marking Scheme 2026?

Candidates were given 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) of 150 marks. The candidates can calculate their marks based on the following method:

  • For each correct answer, candidates will be awarded 1 mark
  • If you correctly answered 70 questions, then your score would be 70
  • Candidates should also note that there is no negative marking in the exam

UPTET 2026 Certificate Validity

Once the official answer key process is complete, UPESSC will declare the UPTET 2026 result along with the qualifying marks/cut-off for each category. Candidates who qualify will be issued the UPTET certificate, which remains valid for 5 years from the date of result declaration and is a mandatory eligibility requirement for teacher recruitment exams such as UP Assistant Teacher and other UP Basic Shiksha Parishad recruitments.
