Over 18 lakh candidates appeared in Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026 and are now waiting for the result. Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) will announce the UPTET Result 2026 in August 2026. UPTET Exam is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for teaching posts at various government & government-aided schools across the state. A total of 1,994,661 candidates have registered for the exam, and lakhs of candidates participated in UPTET Paper 1 (Classes 1–5) and Paper 2 (Classes 6–8) conducted from 2nd to 4th July 2026 in offline (OMR) mode across all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh.
UPTET Result 2026
UP TET Result will be released in scorecard format, including the candidate's name, roll number, marks obtained by them, and qualifying status in the exam. Only those candidates who secure the minimum qualifying marks as per their category (UR - 60% and OBC, SC, ST, and PwD - 55%) will be decalred qualified in the UPTET exam. Qualified candidates in the exam will be awarded the UPTET Certificate, whose validity is lifetime.
What is the UPTET 2026 Result Release Date?
A notice was circulating saying, “UPTET Result will be released on 29th July 2026," but there was no official announcement regarding the same. As per the latest news, the OMR sheets are still under the “Screening” procedure, so the result is not possible to be released in July. UPTET Result can be declared in the starting of August.

Once UPESSC officially declares the UPTET Result 2026, candidates can follow the steps below to check and download their scorecards:
- Visit the official UPESSC website at www.upessc.up.gov.in or the direct result link provided above.
- On the homepage, click on the "UPTET Result 2026" link under the Candidate Services / Latest Updates section.
- A login page will appear on the screen.
- Enter your Registration Number and Password in the required fields.
- Enter the captcha code and click on the "Login" button.
- Your UPTET Result 2026 scorecard will be displayed on the screen.
- Check your qualifying status (Pass / Fail), marks obtained, and subject-wise marks carefully.

UPTET Cutoff & Qualifying Marks 2026
The qualifying marks in the exam are around 55%, or 82.5 marks for SC, ST, and OBC category candidates, while it is 60% or 90 marks for candidates belonging to the general category. Candidates obtaining the minimum UPTET Qualifying marks in the UPTET Result 2026 will get a UPTET Eligibility Certificate with lifetime validity.

UP TET Certificate - Validity & Issuance
Candidates who qualify the UPTET 2026 exam will be awarded the UPTET Eligibility Certificate. Key points to know:
- The UPTET Certificate 2026 carries lifetime validity as per the latest government guidelines. Candidates who qualify do not need to re-appear in UPTET to maintain their eligibility.
- The certificate is issued within approximately 30 days of the result declaration by UPESSC.
- A Paper I certificate makes a candidate eligible to apply for Primary Teacher posts (Classes 1–5).
- A Paper II certificate makes a candidate eligible for Upper Primary Teacher posts (Classes 6–8).
- Candidates who qualify both Paper I and Paper II will receive separate certificates for each.
