UPSC ESE Exam Date 2025 Out

UPSC ESE Vacancy 2025
Through UPSC ESE Notification 2025, the Union Public Services Commission has released 232 vacant posts for Civil, Mechanical, Electrical- Electronics, and Telecommunication departments. Out of the 232 applications, 17 are reserved for 12 vacancies for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) ( 7 vacancies for Locomotor Disability including, Leprosy cured, Dwarfism, Acid Attack victims, and Muscular Dystrophy, and 5 vacancies for Hard of Hearing). The vacancies for various Categories and Sub-Categories are yet to be released.

UPSC ESE 2025 Application Fees
The UPSC ESE 2025 has an application fee that applicants have to pay, as part of the application process. The candidate has to pay Rs. 200 as per the official notification of UPSC ESE 2025. There is no fess for Female/SC/ST/PwBD. The candidates can pay the fees in both online mode and offline mode (Cash). The method to pay offline is to click on “Pay Cash”, and then take the slip given to the nearest SBI along with the fees.
Step to Apply for UPSC Engineering Service Exam 2025
The candidates should have all the important documents for verification of date of birth, educational eligibility, age, etc. before they fill out the examination form. The candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to download the UPSC ESE 2025.
- First visit the official website of UPSC, https://upsc.gov.in/.
- Then click on “Recruitment” on the top.
- Scroll down and click on, “Online Recruitment Application”.
- Then in the opened window click on, “New Registration”.
- Then fill in all the necessary details like Name, Father’s Name, Category, Nationality, etc.
- Then it will ask for documents that should be uploaded on the website, keep their copies ready, and upload them.
- In the end pay the fees and download the application for future reference.
Documents Required to Fill the UPSC ESE Online Form 2025
The candidate has to upload a few documents required they should have their soft copies ready before filling out the form. The following are the self-attested documents required to fill out the UPSC ESE 2025 form.
- Certificate of Age.
- Photograph of the Candidate (clicked within 7 days with name and date).
- Certificate of Educational Qualification.
- Certificate in support of the claim to belong to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Economically Weaker Section(EWS) wherever applicable.
- Certificate in support of claim for age/ fee concession, wherever applicable.
UPSC ESE 2025 Eligibility Criteria
The UPSC ESE 2025 is being conducted for Group A and Group B Engineering Services all across India. The UPSC ESE 2025 is being conducted for four categories, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and Telecommunication. The eligibility criteria of each of the categories in terms of Educational Qualification, Nationality, and Age Limit. Below are details mentioned for the minimum eligibility criteria for each.
UPSC ESE Educational Qualification
The candidate should have minimum qualifications to take the UPSC ESE 2025. The minimum qualification should have at least this, and it’s essential to know them. The Minimum Educational Qualification for UPSC ESE 2025, is to have obtained a degree in Engineering from a University or obtained a degree/diploma in Engineering from such foreign University/College/Institution recognized by the Government.
Note: For Indian Naval Armament Service (Electronics Engg. Posts) minimum educational qualification is an M.Sc. degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication Electronics, Radio Physics, or Radio Engineering as a special subject. For the Indian Radio Regulatory Service Group “A” minimum educational qualification is an M.Sc. degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication Electronics, Radio Physics, or Radio Engineering as a subject or a Master’s Degree in Science with Physics and Radio Communication or Electronics or Telecommunication as a special subject
UPSC ESE Nationality
The UPSC ESE 2025 has set some eligibility for different nationals. As the UPSC ESE 2025 can be given by a few nationalities other than Indians. For UPSC ESE 2025, the candidate must be either:
- A citizen of India
- A subject of Nepal
- A subject of Bhutan
- A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st of January, 1962 intending to permanently settle in India
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia.
UPSC ESE Age Limit (as on 01/01/2025)

UPSC ESE 2025 Selection Process

UPSC ESE 2025 Exam Pattern
In UPSC ESE Exam, the exam pattern for each stage varies, the candidate should detail the exam pattern for each stage.
