SSC CHSL Eligibility

The first and foremost thing to be checked by the candidates before appearing for any of the competitive examinations is the eligibility criteria prescribed by the official authorities, candidates appearing for the examination for various SSC CHSL Posts must fulfill the age limit, educational qualifications, and nationality requirements of the Staff Selection Commission.

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for any of the SSC CHSL Posts must have done their class 12th from a recognized board, the complete post-wise educational qualification has been provided in the table below. Only the candidates having the necessary educational qualifications as per the respective posts are eligible for that particular posts.

SSC CHSL Nationality

Candidates belonging to certain nationalities such as an Indian citizen, a subject of Nepal & Bhutan, etc. for various posts for SSC CHSL. Candidates belonging to either of the below-mentioned nationalities can appear for the combined higher secondary level examination.

  • An individual who is either a Tibetan refugee, an Indian citizen, or a subject of Bhutan, Nepal, or both.
  • To permanently reside in India, people who have migrated from Pakistan, the United Republic of Tanzania (previously Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Burma, Sri Lanka, Malawi, and the East African nations of Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Zaire, Vietnam, and Ethiopia.

Salary Structure SSC CHSL Posts

The candidates selected for different SSC CHSL Posts get basic pay, house rental allowance, dearness allowance, transport allowance, gross salary, and total in-hand salary (after making necessary deductions). The monthly salary of the different posts varies as per the different pay levels.

The posts of Lower Division Clerk or Junior Secretariat Assistant get their monthly salary as per the pay level 2. The employees who get hired for these posts receive a monthly pay scale ranging from Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200/-.
