Step-by-Step Guide to Apply Online for RRB Technician Recruitment 2026

The RRB Technician Application Forms have to be submitted only through online mode. No other mode of application will be accepted. Candidates can check the stepwise process to apply online for the RRB Technician Exam 2026.

Step 1: Create an Account

  • Open the browser and visit the official website of the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) and go to the other RRB page, https://www.rrbcdg.gov.in/.
  • On the homepage, click the link that says “Click here to apply for RRB Grade 1 Signal and Technician Grade 3 posts” under CEN-02/2026 (Technician).
  • If you are a first-time applicant, click on “Create an Account”. (Candidates who have already created an account for any CEN issued by RRB are not required to register again. They should log in using the same username and password)
  • To complete the Create an Account form, fill in your basic details: Candidate’s Name, Date of Birth, Parent’s Name, Gender, Email Id, and Mobile Number.
  • A unique OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to the candidate’s registered mobile number and email address. Please enter this OTP in the application form. Verification through Aadhar Card and PAN Card Verification and create a PASSWORD. (Password should be a combination of Capital letters, small letters, special characters, and numbers.
  • Click on ‘I am not a Robot’, confirm your password, and then tap on ‘Preview and Create Password’.

Step 2: Application Form

  • Using your registration ID and password, log in to the railway application portal to complete the online application form.
  • Candidates must select the RRB for which they wish to apply and select the posts and zones within the chosen RRB.
  • Fill in details such as marital status, Religion, Choice of Language, Present Address, permanent address, and other details.
  • Enter other details, including essential educational qualifications.
  • Upload scanned images of their photograph and signature as per the specifications mentioned in the form.

Step 3: Fee Payment

  • Click on the Online Fee Payment button and pay the fee as per category.
  • The fee will be paid online through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or UPI Services.
  • The confirmation page of the online Application Form will be generated only after successful payment by the candidate.
