Based on the performance of candidates in Part A of the Second Stage CBT subject to their qualifying the Part B of Second Stage CBT, a candidate will be called for Document Verification.

Score Normalisation (Multi-shift Exams)

RRB Technician CBT is conducted in different dates in multiple shifts and hence RRB applies a normalisation formula to maintain fairness. Your raw score is then compared to the average performance of candidates in your shift against other shifts. Shortlisting is based on your normalised score, not your raw score. Students don't need to worry about 'harder' papers as this is taken care of in the normalisation process.
