Eligibility Criteria for Lecturer Cadre Recruitment Punjab

Only the candidates who fulfil the required eligibility criteria are eligible to apply for the Punjab Lecturer Recruitment 2026. Candidates must fulfil the eligibility requirements regarding educational qualifications and age limits.

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have completed a Master’s degree (Post-Graduation) in the relevant subject from a recognised university with a minimum of 55% marks
  • UGC NET / PSTET-qualified candidates will be given preference
  • PhD holders will be preferred or given additional weight during merit calculation
  • Passing Punjabi up to the matriculation level is mandatory for all posts. This is a non-negotiable requirement under the Punjab government rules
