Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati has officially declared the GATE 2026 at the GOAPS portal at www.gate2026.iitg.ac.in. The GATE 2026 Toppers List for all 30 papers will be released today, 19th March 2026, including the candidate’s name (AIR 1 for each paper),, branch, raw marks out of 100, and GATE score (normalised) out of 1000. Along with the toppers’ list, IIT Guwahati also prepares a list of minimum qualifying marks for all subjects.
GATE 2026 Toppers List
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national examination conducted for admission to M.Tech, ME, or direct PhD programs in top institutes like IIT, NIT, IIIT, or to make a career in leading Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). More than 7 lakh candidates appeared for the GATE 2026 college entrance test for admission to MTech. GATE 2026 exam was conducted on 7th, 8th, 14th, and 15th February 2026 in Computer-Based Mode across 30 test papers, and the GATE 2026 Result has been released on 19th March 2026.
The maximum GATE score is 1000, and many toppers achieve this score every year across different engineering and science papers. The branch-wise GATE 2026 Toppers List will be made available at www.gate2026.iitg.ac.in for candidates to analyse their performance and check their raw marks and normalised scores.

- M.Tech / PhD Admissions
Two different GATE counselling processes will be conducted for admission to M.Tech colleges in India, COAP and CCMT. And it will be available for free till 31st May 2026. Later, students can download it by paying a fee of Rs. 500. The GATE 2026 scorecard will remain valid for three years and can be used for MTech, MSc, PhD admissions and PSU recruitment.
