GATE 2026 Normalisation Process
In GATE 2026, lakhs of candidates gave their exam in multiple sessions spread across different dates. This makes the level of some shifts on the tougher side than the rest. To equalise the level of shifts, average performance & number of candidates in each shift and the standard deviation of marks are taken into consideration. This process prevents unfair advantages for the easier shifts.
