CSIR NET Exam Date 2025 Out
Through the CSIR NET June 2025 Notification, the Joint CSIR-UGC NET June Exam Date 2025 has been released by NTA. The CSIR NET June 2025 exam will be conducted on 26th, 27th, and 28th July 2025 for candidates who successfully registered for the exam. The CSIR UGC NET exam will be conducted in Computer-Based Mode, including the Objective Type with MCQ-based questions. The City Intimation Slip and Admit Card for the exam will be released at the official website of NTA.
CSIR NET 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the CSIR NET June 2025 exam must meet the required eligibility criteria as mentioned in the CSIR UGC NET Notification 2025. The candidate’s eligibility will be determined based on citizenship, educational qualification, and the age limit of the candidate.
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have obtained at least 55% marks (for General and OBC) or 50% marks (for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates) in a Master’s degree or equivalent examination from a recognized university/ Institution.
- For candidates enrolled in an integrated MS-PhD program or having a B.Sc.(Hons.) degree, at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PWD candidates) are required.
- Candidates who have only a Bachelor’s degree are eligible for JRF only and not for Lectureship (LS)/Assistant Professor.
- Candidates who have passed a Master’s degree with at least 50% marks before September 19, 1991, are only eligible to apply for Lectureship.
Age Limit (as on 1/07/2025)
- JRF- The upper Age Limit for JRF is 30 years
- Age relaxation of up to 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/Third Gender/Persons with Disability (PWD) and Women applicants. 3 years will be relaxed for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer Applicants)
- Assistant Professor – There is no upper age limit for Lectureship and Assistant Professor
- Admission to PhD – There is no upper age limit for applying for the Joint CSIR-UGC-NET for Admission to PhD

CSIR NET 2025 Certificate
The CSIR NET Certificate will be made available on the official website of NTA a few weeks after the results are announced. Candidates can download the certificate exclusively from the official website. The validity of the CSIR NET certificate of an Assistant Professor is lifetime, and the UGC NET Validity for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) is 3 years from the date of issuance.
