CRPF HCM and ASI (Steno) Skill Test/Typing Test 2023

Candidates who have appeared in the Head Constable Ministerial and Assistant Sub Inspector (Steno) positions need to undergo the CRPF Recruitment 2023 next phase of the selection process. After Successful completion of the first phase of selection, the candidates appear for the second phase of the selection process which is the skill test. The skill test includes the test of the typing speed of the candidates. The details of the typing test are as follows; 

• In the typing test, candidates have to type 35 words per minute for English and 30 words per minute for Hindi. 
• The aspirants have to maintain a key depression of 10,500 per hour for English typing and 9,000 per hour for Hindi typing. 

CRPF HCM Typing Test 2023- Guidelines

All the candidates who are going to appear for the CRPF HCM and ASI (Steno)Typing Test must read the complete instructions carefully before proceeding to the examination. Only those candidates will be called for typing test who have qualified the CRPF Computer Based Written Examination. The general guidelines which must be followed are as follows; 

• The Typing Test of candidates will be conducted on computers only, no other means of typing tests are valid.
• The nature of the typing test will be qualifying, no marks will be awarded to candidates for the typing exam. 
• The Key layout for the CRPF HCM Hindi Language Typing will be “Remington Gail Keylayout with MANGAL Font”.

CRPF HCM Typing Test 2023- Marking Scheme

As we have mentioned above no marks will be given for the typing test. But the candidate typing is evaluated using the marking scheme mentioned below;

• If a candidate makes a spelling mistake, omission of a word/punctuation mark, repeated word, word varying from the test/actual passage, a word not in the passage, mixing-up of words, etc. these are considered errors. 
• If a candidate types 5% of the words wrong, then it will not be considered an error.
• If the mistakes are beyond 5% then 10 words will be subtracted from the total words typed to check the actual typing speed. 
• Computers and keyboards on which the CRPF Typing Test 2023 is done will be provided at centres.
• The Mode/procedure/method for conducting skill tests will be decided by the department only. 
• No candidates will be allowed for a re-test of the CRPF Head Constable Typing Test 2023.
