BPSC Assistant Section Officer Selection Process 2025
Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has set the selection process for Assistant Section Officer in two stages:
- Preliminary Examination: This is the first stage, which consists of three sections.
- Main Examination: Candidates who qualify in the preliminary exam will be invited to apply for the Mains examination.
The merit list will be prepared category-wise based on the marks obtained in the main examination and the preference given for experienced candidates

BPSC ASO Exam Pattern 2025 for Main Exam
The Mains exam pattern for the Assistant Section Officer is as follows:
Paper 1: General Hindi
- This paper will have multiple-choice questions.
- The paper will be in the Hindi language only.
- Candidates must score at least 30% marks to qualify.
- This paper is of a qualitative nature
- If you score less than 30%, your Paper 2 will not be checked, and you will be disqualified from the examination
