What is AIIMS NORCET Exam?
NORCET, whose full form is Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test. It is a national-level examination conducted by AIIMS, New Delhi, to recruit Nursing Officers for AIIMS and other participating central government medical institutions across India. Through NORCET, eligible nursing candidates are selected based on their performance in a two-stage computer-based examination (Preliminary and Main), followed by document verification. Candidates who qualify are appointed to Nursing Officer posts in various AIIMS and allied institutes.

Application Fee
Once the application fee is paid, it will not be refunded under any circumstances. However, the fee for SC/ST candidates who appear in the examination will be refunded after the declaration of results.
- The application fee is Rs. 3,000 for General category candidates,
- Rs. 2,400 for SC/ST/EWS candidates, and free for PH (Persons with Handicaps) candidates.
- Payment must be made online through Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.
How to Apply for AIIMS NORCET 10 Application Form 2026?
Candidates can follow these steps to apply online for AIIMS NORCET 10 at the official website:
- Go to the official AIIMS exam portal at www.aiimsexams.ac.in
- On the homepage, look for the link titled “Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET-10)” under the “Important Announcements” section.
- Click on New Registration and enter basic details like name, mobile number, email ID, and create login credentials. An email/SMS confirmation will be sent after successful registration.
- Log in using your credentials and fill in all required personal, educational, and experience details.
- Upload scanned copies of: Passport-sized photograph, Signature, Educational Certificates, Registration Certificate (Nursing Council), and Experience Certificate (if applicable).
- Pay the application fee through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking.
- Select the preferred exam centre city and upload a photograph, signature, and thumb impression.
- Review all filled details carefully, then submit the form.
- Download and print a copy of the finally submitted application form and keep the proof of payment for future reference. Do not send any physical copy to AIIMS.

Valid Registration Certificate issued by the State Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council (INC)
The certificate must confirm registration as a Nurse and Midwife
Registration must be current and valid at the time of application - Experience Certificate (For GNM Candidates)
Work Experience Certificate proving a minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience
The certificate must be issued on the official letterhead of the employing hospital/institution
It must clearly mention the designation, period of service, and nature of work - Category/Reservation Certificates (If Applicable)
SC/ST Certificate issued by a competent authority (District Magistrate / SDM / Tehsildar)
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate — must be recent and valid
EWS (Economically Weaker Section) Certificate issued in the prescribed format by a competent authority
PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disability) Certificate — issued by a government medical board specifying the type and percentage of disability - Domicile / Residential Proof (If Required)
State domicile certificate issued by a competent authority
Aadhaar Card or Voter ID may also serve as address proof in some cases - NOC / Undertaking (For Serving Government Employees)
No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current employer, if the candidate is already employed with a central/state government organisation

Educational Qualification
Candidates must have completed BSc Nursing or BSc Nursing Post Basic from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council, and must be registered as a Nurse and Midwife with the State/Indian Nursing Council. Alternatively, candidates must have completed a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council. GNM candidates are required to have 2 years of relevant work experience.
Age Limit
- The minimum age requirement is 18 years.
- The maximum age limit is 30 years as of the closing date of the application, 16th March 2026.
- Age relaxation is provided to reserved categories — SC/ST – 5 years, OBC – 3 years, PwBD- 10–15 years as per government norms.
Correction Window
After the application window closes, AIIMS will open the NORCET 10 Correction Window 2026. This facility allows registered candidates to rectify specific errors or deficiencies in their application form. Candidates can generally correct details such as images or other personal data. However, the candidate’s category cannot be changed once the registration fee is paid.
