The AIIMS NORCET 2026 exam is conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences for candidates who wish to work as a Nursing Officer in AIIMS hospitals. The selection process includes two stages – Prelims and Mains. The Prelims exam will be held on 11 April 2026, and it is a qualifying exam. It has 100 questions, out of which 80 are from Nursing, and 20 from General Knowledge and Aptitude. The Prelims syllabus covers basic topics such as current affairs, simple mathematics (time, distance, profit and loss, interest), reasoning, and fundamental nursing concepts.

NORCET 10 Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2026

AIIMS NORCET 10 2026 Exam is conducted in 2 Stages. Stage 1 is a CBT 1 exam that will consist of 100 questions, of which 20 questions will be from General Awareness & Aptitude and 80 questions from the Core Nursing Subjects. Stage 2 is a CBT 2 exam that will include 160 questions from the Nursing.

AIIMS NORCET 10 Selection Process

The selection of candidates for the post of Nursing Officer will be based on a muliple stage selection process. The selection process will include 4 stages as mentioned below.

AIIMS NORCET 10 Exam Pattern 2026

After checking the syllabus, candidates can check the exam pattern for the AIIMS NORCET 10 exam. There will be 100 questions for 100 marks in the prelims exam and 160 questions for 160 marks in the mains exam. A Negative Marking of ⅓rd for each wrong answer applies to both papers. 

AIIMS NORCET 10 Exam Pattern [Paper 1]

The Prelims exam is qualifying in nature. It consists of 100 multiple-choice questions, including 80 questions from Nursing subjects and 20 questions from General Knowledge and Aptitude. There is a negative marking of 1/3 mark for each incorrect answer, so candidates should attempt questions carefully.

Qualifying Percentile:

• UR/EWS: 50th percentile
• OBC: 45th percentile
• SC/ST: 40th percentile
• PWBD: Additional 5 percentile relaxation

AIIMS NORCET 10 Exam Pattern [Paper 2]

The Mains exam contains 160 questions based entirely on Nursing subjects and is considered for preparing the final merit list. Both stages of the exam are conducted in online mode.
