The AIIMS NORCET 2026 exam is conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences for candidates who wish to work as a Nursing Officer in AIIMS hospitals. The selection process includes two stages – Prelims and Mains. AIIMS NORCET 10 Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2026

AIIMS NORCET 10 2026 Exam is conducted in 2 Stages. Stage 1 is a CBT 1 exam that will consist of 100 questions, of which 20 questions will be from General Awareness & Aptitude and 80 questions from the Nursing Course. Stage 2 is a CBT 2 exam that will include 160 questions from the Nursing Course.

AIIMS NORCET 10 Selection Process 2026

The selection of candidates for the post of Nursing Officer will be based on a muliple stage selection process. The selection process will include 4 stages as mentioned below. 

Stage 1: Preliminary Examination
Stage 2: Mains Examination
Stage 3: Document Verification
Stage 4: Medical Examination

AIIMS NORCET 10 Exam Pattern 2026 [Paper 1]

The Prelims exam is scheduled for April 11, 2026, and it is qualifying in nature. It consists of 100 multiple-choice questions, including 80 questions from Nursing subjects and 20 questions from General Knowledge and Aptitude. There is a negative marking of 1/3 mark for each incorrect answer, so candidates should attempt questions carefully.

Qualifying Percentile:

• UR/EWS: 50th percentile
• OBC: 45th percentile
• SC/ST: 40th percentile
• PWBD: Additional 5 percentile relaxation

AIIMS NORCET 10 Exam Pattern 2026 [Paper 2]

The Mains exam contains 160 questions based entirely on Nursing subjects and is considered for preparing the final merit list. Both stages of the exam are conducted in online mode.
