Eligibility Criteria for UP Special TET Exam 2026

For Paper I (Primary Level – Classes 1 to 5)

Senior Secondary (12th) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, or
Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (as per NCTE norms), or
Graduation with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, or
Graduation with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed degree.

For Paper II (Upper Primary Level – Classes 6 to 8)

Graduation with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, or
Graduation with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed degree, or
Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed), or
Graduation with at least 50% marks and a 1-year B.Ed (Special Education)
