The MP Police SI Recruitment 2026 notification has been released on September 1, 2026 by the Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB) for recruitment to the Subedar and Sub-Inspector cadres under the Madhya Pradesh Police Department. A total of 507 vacancies have been announced, including 81 Subedar posts and 426 Sub-Inspector posts across non-technical and technical categories.

According to the official rulebook, the MP Police SI application form 2026 will be available from September 9, 2026 to September 23, 2026. Candidates can make corrections in their submitted applications till September 28, 2026. The written examination is scheduled to begin from October 28, 2026 onwards.

Madhya Pradesh Police SI Selection Process 2026

The eligible candidates who will apply successfully for the MP Police SI Recruitment 2026 have to go through a multi-stage selection process that will include the following stages;

• Prelims Exam
• Mains Exam
• Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standards Test (PST)
• Document Verification
• Medical Examination

MPESB Police SI Exam pattern 2026

Candidates have to give the two written exams, namely the preliminary and the mains. Those candidates who clear the preliminary exam will be eligible to give the main exam, and scores in the prelims will not be considered for the final merit list.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Qualified candidates in the MP Police SI written exam will be called to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The PET will be held for a total of 100 marks (800 meters Race – 40), Long Jump (30 marks), (Shot-put (30 marks).
