Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan (OAVS) aims to fill a total of 815 vacancies for the posts of Principals and Teachers in Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas (OAVs) and Odisha Mining Adarsha Vidyalayas (OMAVs).

Eligibility Criteria for OAVS Teacher Recruitment 2026

Only the candidates who fulfil the required eligibility criteria are eligible to apply for OAVS Recruitment 2026 for Principal and Teacher posts. Eligibility will be determined by the candidates’ educational qualifications and age limit as on 01/01/2026.

For Principal

• Candidates must have passed a Master’s degree from a recognized University with at least 45% marks in aggregate
• Have passed B.Ed. (a course prescribed by NCTE) from an institution recognized by NCTE and affiliated to a recognized University
• Age Limit – 32 to 50 years

For PGT (Post Graduate Teacher)

• Candidates must have passed a two-year Integrated Post Graduate Course with at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PH/ SEBC candidates) in the concerned subjects; (OR)
• Master’s degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/ SEBC/PH candidates) in any of the following subjects (AND)
• Must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (a course prescribed by NCTE) from an Institution recognized by NCTE and affiliated to a recognized University.
• Age Limit – 21 to 42 years

For TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher)

• Candidates must have passed a four-year integrated Degree course in the concerned subject from any Institution recognized by NCTE with at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC candidates);
• Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Arts & Science in the concerned subjects with 50% in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC candidates) along with a degree in Bachelor in Education/ 3 years integrated B.A B.Ed(a course prescribed by the NCTE) with 50% in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC candidates) from an Institution recognized by the NCTE and affiliated to a recognized University.
•  Proficiency in teaching in both Odia and English medium.
• Desirable – Knowledge of Computer Applications
• Age Limit – 21 to 42 years

For Art Teacher

• Candidates must have passed a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts/Visual Arts from a recognized University.
• Proficiency to teach in Odia& English medium.
• Desirable: Knowledge of computer applications.
• Age Limit – 21 to 42 years

For Physical Education Teacher

• Bachelor’s degree in the concerned subjects with 50% in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/SEBC/PwD candidates)
• Degree/Post Graduate Degree in Physical Education i.e. B.P.Ed./M.P.Ed. (a course prescribed by NCTE) from a recognized University/Institution.
• Proficiency to teach in Odia & English medium.
• Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Application.
• Age Limit – 21 to 42 years

For Computer Teacher

• Bachelor’s degree in the concerned subjects with 50% in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/SEBC/PwD candidates)
• Candidates must have passed B.E./B. Tech in Computer Science or I.T./MCA/M.Sc. I.T/ M.Sc. Computer Science from a recognized University (OR)
• Passed ‘B’ Level of DOEACC / NIELIT in Computer Science from a recognized University (OR)
• Have passed B.C.A/B.Sc. in Computer Science from a recognized University.
• Competence to teach through English &Odia medium
• Age Limit – 21 to 42 years
