Eligibility Criteria for Punjab Lecturer Recruitment 2026

Only the candidates who fulfil the required eligibility criteria are eligible to apply for the Punjab Lecturer Recruitment 2026. Candidates must fulfill the eligibility requirements in terms of educational qualification and age limit.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have completed a Master’s degree (Post-Graduation) in the relevant subject from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks
For some posts, a minimum of 50% marks in Graduation is also required
UGC NET / PSTET-qualified candidates will be given preference
Ph.D. holders will be preferred or given additional weightage during merit calculation
Passing Punjabi up to the Matric level is mandatory for all posts. This is a non-negotiable requirement under the Punjab government rules

Minimum Age – 18 years
Maximum Age – 37 years
