The Department of Posts, Government of India, has released the India Post GDS 4th Merit List 2026 at the official website www.indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. Candidates who applied for 28,636 Gramin Dak Sevak vacancies under the Online Engagement Schedule-I, January 2026, but were not shortlisted in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Merit List, can now verify their selection status through the 4th Merit List PDF.

The India Post GDS 4th Merit List 2026 has been released for posts of branch postmaster (BPM), assistant branch postmaster (ABPM), and Dak Sevak across all postal circles in India. 2. Click on “GDS Online Engagement” and Choose “Schedule-I January 2026”
3. Select your respective Postal Circle (State) on the homepage
4. Click the link for “Supplementary List – IV” (4th Merit List)
5. The PDF will open in a new tab circularly
6. Press Ctrl + F and type your 7 digit Registration Number to find your name
7. Download the merit list pdf and save it for future use.

India Post GDS 4th Merit List — Document Verification Process

Candidates shortlisted in the GDS 4th Merit List 2026 will have to go through the Document Verification (DV) process, which is the last stage before final appointment. The DV shall be held at the respective Divisional Office of the Division where the candidate has been selected. Candidates should report for document verification on or before the prescribed date as mentioned in the official merit list pdf.
