MHSRB Telangana Nursing Officer Notification 2026

MHSRB Telangana Staff Nurse Recruitment 2026 will be conducted by the Medical and Health Services Recruitment Board, which is responsible for hiring medical staff for government hospitals and institutions in Telangana. With the release of the upcoming notification, Telangana continues to strengthen its public healthcare system by recruiting qualified nursing professionals.

As per initial reports shared by the Medical and Health Services Recruitment Board;

Telangana Nursing Officer (Staff Nurse) Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility requirements before applying. However, the eligibility criteria are expected to be confirmed along with the official notification pdf.

Educational Qualification

For Staff Nurse position as per the official notification, the minimum educational qualification in 5 departments is General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) or B.SC Nursing. Along with having the minimum educational qualification, each candidate will also be required to register with the Telangana Nursing Council on the date of their application as they have to provide the certificate for the same during the application process.

Age limit

If the candidates meet the first parameter, they still are not eligible if they don’t fulfil the second parameter, which is the age limit for the Nursing Officer. The age limit for a nursing officer as per the official notification, is 18 years minimum and 46 years maximum. Although the age limit is 18-46 years, MHSRB has provided age relaxation for candidates belonging to a few categories, which are provided in the table below.

MHSRB Nursing Officer/Staff Nurse Selection Process

The selection process for the Nursing Officer in Telangana assigns the candidates 100 marks, of which the Written Exam carries 80 marks and a maximum of 20 marks will be given to candidates for service in state government hospitals/ institutions/programs on a contract/outsourced basis. The merit list of the candidates will be based on both the marks obtained in the written exam and the service provided. Each candidate who has served in government hospitals will be assigned different marks, which are as follows.

• 2.5 points per 6 months for service rendered in tribal areas.
• 2 points per 6 months for service rendered in other than tribal areas.

Candidates who will take the MHSRB Telangana Nursing Officer should make a strategy by taking into account the number of days for the exam and the exam pattern in mind.
