The High Court of Patna has announced important application dates for Computer Operator cum Typist posts in the official notification. Patna High Court Computer Operator Vacancy 2026

The High Court of Patna has released 48 vacancies for the Computer Operator post. Among these vacancies, the Unreserved category has the highest number of vacancies with 22 posts. Patna High Court Computer Operator Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for Computer Operator-cum-Typist posts must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria as prescribed by the High Court of Patna. An Indian citizen with good moral character and having the essential qualification and within the specific age limit is eligible for the recruitment.

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have completed their graduation in any discipline from a recognised university.
• Candidates must hold a Diploma or Certificate in Computer Applications with at least 6 months of experience.
• Candidates must also have a Typing Proficiency Certificate with a speed of at least 40 words per minute in English and 30 words per minute in Hindi.
• Candidates with the following qualifications will be given preference during the selection process-

(a) Those who have completed at least 2 years of service in the Territorial Army
(b) Those who possess a ‘B’ Certificate issued by the National Cadet Corps (NCC).

Age Limit (as on 1/1/2026)

Candidates who wish to apply for the recruitment must be 18 years of age and must not have been born later than 1st January 2008. However, the Government of Bihar has provided the age relaxations for different categories of candidates as mentioned below:

Note:

• Candidates working under the Central Govt. or the Bihar Govt. are eligible for 5 years of upper age relaxation.
• The Locomotor Disabled category will get 10 years of age relaxation.
• Candidates who are already working under the High Court are not eligible for age relaxation.

Patna High Court Application Form 2026

The application portal of the Patna High Court has started accepting online applications from eligible candidates on 17th April 2026. The Court has notified that candidates must have an active mobile number and email ID for registration and must keep them till the publication of the result. Patna High Court Computer Operator Application Fee 2026

Candidates must submit the application fee to complete the application process. The High Court of Patna will accept a non-refundable examination fee only through online payment mode. The concession in examination fee will only be provided to candidates from the SC, ST, and Locomotor Disabled categories. The application fee is given below.

Steps to Apply Online for Patna High Court Computer Operator Recruitment 2026

Candidates must carefully fill in the details, as once submitted, no changes can be made in the application form. We have provided the detailed steps to apply online for candidates below:

1. Open the official website of Patna High Court on your browser https://patnahighcourt.gov.in.
2. Scroll down the homepage and visit the “Recruitment” tab on the left side of the column.
3. On the list of notices, look for a notice titled “Link to Apply for Computer Operator-cum-Typist Recruitment Examination 2026” and click on it.
4. In a new window, click on the “Apply Online” link.
5. Click on the “New Registration” to register by entering basic details such as name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID.
6. Verify your details by using OTP verification. This will generate your Registration Number and Password, which will be sent via SMS and email.
7. Now, log in with your registered credentials and fill in personal, additional, communication, and qualification details.
8. Upload the documents of the photograph and signature in JPG/JPEG format, with a size between 50 KB and 80 KB. Also, upload certifications of qualification, domicile, category, NOC, NCC, and Typing in JPG/JPEG/PDF format, with a size between 100 KB and 300 KB.
9. Review the filled-out application form carefully and click on the “Submit” option.
10. Download the application form and take a printout of it for future reference.

Patna High Court Computer Operator Selection Process 2026

The selection process for the Computer Operator-cum-Typist post is of two stage. The first is a written exam, which is followed by an Interview. However, the High Court of Patna has notified that in case the number of applications is on the higher side, then a Preliminary Screening Test will be conducted to shortlist candidates for the written test.

Stage 1 – Preliminary Screening Test (if applicable): Candidates have to score a minimum of 40% to qualify.

Stage 2 – Written Test: This stage has 3 parts, as described below:

(a) MCQ-Based Objective Type (40 % minimum qualification)
(b) English Computer Typing Test (90 % minimum qualification)
(c) Hindi Computer Typing Test (85 % minimum qualification)

Stage 3 – Interview: Candidates must obtain at least 3% to be considered qualified.

Patna High Court Computer Operator Exam Pattern 2026

The High Court of Patna has given the exam pattern for the Computer Operator-cum-Typist posts in the notification. Candidates who are preparing for the recruitment should check the exam pattern for both the Preliminary Screening Test and the Written Test as discussed below.

Preliminary Screening Test

As this stage is only used for shortlisting candidates for the written stage, the marks obtained in this stage will not be carried forward. There are three sections in this test: General Awareness, English Language and Grammar, and Computer Awareness.

• The total marks of this test are 50.
• Candidates will get 30 minutes to finish the test.
• The language of the question paper will be in English and Hindi, except for the English Language and Grammar section.

Written Test

The written test has three parts. Part A is for the objective test, Part B is for the English Computer Typing Test, and Part C is for the Hindi Computer Typing Test. Candidates have to qualify for all three parts to get selected for the next stage.

• The total marks of the written test 250.
• The objective type is 50 minutes.
• Each question of the objective-type test will carry 1 mark.
• There will be no negative marking.
• The total duration of the test is 50 minutes.
• Candidates have to secure the minimum qualifying marks for each part.

Patna High Court Computer Operator Salary 2026

The candidates selected for the post of Computer Operator-cum-Typist are placed under Level 4 of the 7th Pay Commission. As per the pay structure given by Patna High Court, selected candidates will get a salary of Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100. In addition, candidates will also get DA, HRA, medical benefits and travel allowances.
